Mark White has spent the last twenty-seven years immersing himself in the advertising industry of Trinidad & Tobago. He began at the copywriter’s desk at McCann Erickson in 1989 and moved on to perform a similar role at Lonsdale/Saatchi & Saatchi and Hernandez/FCB. He would eventually return to Hernandez/FCB as Chief Executive Officer in 2000, but not before functioning as the Creative Director at Inglefield/Ogilvy & Mather and the Executive Director of boutique advertising agency, Writers In©.
The position he currently holds as Managing Director of Collier Morrison Belgrave Ltd. sees him managing an organisation of over 40 employees where he is ultimately responsible for account direction, creative direction and project leadership. During his tenure within the advertising landscape, he has worked on diverse brands across all sectors, won numerous local, regional and international awards, spearheaded several public service awareness campaigns and served as President of the Advertising Agencies Association of Trinidad and Tobago for two consecutive terms.
A consummate instructor and teacher, Mark believes in nurturing and facilitating the creative process through meaningful collaboration, both with his staff, clients and partners. “I believe in creating a mental space where people can imagine – where they do not put up an emotional block to their own IQ. This genuine desire allows others to channel their vision. Even if I were capable of finding the solution alone, I believe that we get much further, more quickly together.
