Mariel Sabga-Tannous is the Managing Director of Eyescream Animation Ltd. With a keen passion for creativity and production management, Mariel graduated from University of the Arts, London with a BA in Broadcast Journalism, and went on to pursue a MSc. In Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College London.
On her return home Mariel was ready and eager to take on a career in video production, launching her production company Mink Media and starting with the production of Carnival documentary. She broadened her exposure by taking on some corporate and cultural documentary work for some of the largest conglomerates and NGOs in the region. Mariel enjoyed production work in the field, but after a few years she was ready for more.
In 2016 Mariel, together with her siblings, acquired the award winning animation studio Eyescream Animation from the well-respected industry professional Brett Lewis. Building on more than two decades of animation history, Mariel expanded the suite of services to include production, traditional advertising, digital and social media management, ad placements and product design and brand development turning the firm into a leading full suite multi-media advertising agency.
When she isn’t in the office Mariel serves on a few charitable foundations including the Syrian Lebanese Women’s Association a charitable NGO focusing on poverty alleviation, and the JES foundation for pancreatic cancer research. She believes giving back to a country that has given so much to her family over the years is what brings the most satisfaction and contentment.
Her real passion is delivering creativity with an out of the box approach, whilst assuring value for clients by truly understanding their business. Her biggest challenge is balancing both her creative spirit with her mind for business. She believes in her team and her clients equally, and manages the Firm with the ethos that “our clients business is our business and therefore we take our responsibility very seriously. The ultimate success of our client’s business is ultimately our success to enjoy”.
