Ad Agencies Association presents UWI Bursary and charitable donations
Members of the The Advertising Agencies Association of Trinidad and Tobago (AAATT) recently made one individual and two worthy causes happier through donations from the Association’s fundraising efforts.
Annually, the AAATT makes two tertiary level educational awards of $10,000 each. Maryssa Beckford, who is studying Visual Arts, was thrilled to be chosen as one of this year’s recipients. AAATT members have offered to add value to the Bursary by offering her regular internships and participation in activities such as the Creative Awards.
AAATT paid tribute to two of the late stalwarts of the industry by contributing to their favourite charities. Donations of $5,000 each were made to Helen Mc David of Servol, in the name of John Corbin, and to Madonna Cliff-Morris from the Cyril Ross Nursery, in the name of Clive Belgrave. Corbin and Belgrave were early pioneers of the AAATT, and builders of the Association over many decades. Both were keenly involved in ‘giving back’ to their country, particularly young people, long before the concept of ‘corporate social responsibility’ finally became a world-wide movement.[/vc_column_text]
